Introduction
For some artists, music is a hobby. For others, it’s destiny. Rising rapper SarCa$t belongs to the second group—his entire journey feels like it was meant to be. From rapping in school halls to building a career with smart promotion and standout collaborations, he’s proving that passion plus persistence can pay off. We sat down with SarCa$t to discuss his roots, his perspective on hip-hop today, and what fans can expect in the near future.

Q: You’ve said music has been with you since your school days. What sparked that passion?
SarCa$t: Felt like it was always my call ever since I was a kid talking that ish in the hall. I didn’t even think about it back then—it was just natural. Later I realized it was more than a hobby; it was what I wanted to do with my life.

Q: What makes your music stand out in today’s rap scene?
SarCa$t: Honestly, I think hip-hop right now feels kind of repetitive. I want to bring something fresh and creative. I stay true to myself, and that originality shows in the sound.

Q: You’ve been collaborating a lot—tell us about that.
SarCa$t: I’ve worked with Blind Official out of Quebec, Eyvre and Truth303 from Everyday Ritual, and NightDreams from Mississippi. Each one pushes me to bring out different vibes, and I love that.

Q: What’s next?
SarCa$t: I just dropped “Over” on August 12, and the “Take Ya Time” video comes out August 19. Later this year, I’ve got a full EP dropping. That’s gonna be my biggest wave yet.

Q: How are you getting your music heard?
SarCa$t: I started investing in myself—Meta and Google Ads. It boosted my Spotify monthly listeners to 3,000+. That showed me this isn’t just a dream. It’s a career.

Q: When did you first realize music was more than just fun for you?
SarCa$t: Felt like it was always my call ever since I was a kid talking that ish in the hall. Back then I didn’t know it was a career—I just knew I had something to say. Over time, I realized it was deeper than just rhyming with friends.

Q: How would you describe your sound in today’s hip-hop climate?
SarCa$t: Right now, a lot of hip-hop feels repetitive. I try to be creative, stay true to myself, and bring a different energy. Authenticity is important to me—it’s what makes an artist timeless.

Q: You’ve been working with other artists too. Can you share some of those experiences?
SarCa$t: Yeah, for sure. My latest single “Over” features Blind Official from Quebec. I’ve also collaborated with Eyvre and Truth303 from Everyday Ritual out in Colorado and Las Vegas, plus NightDreams from Mississippi. Each artist brings their own vibe, and those collabs push me to show my versatility.

Q: Beyond the music itself, how are you building your audience?
SarCa$t: I decided to invest in myself. I put money behind Meta and Google Ads to push my music. That move helped me grow my Spotify monthly listeners to over 3,000. It showed me that treating this like a business makes all the difference.

Q: What’s next for you?
SarCa$t: The “Take Ya Time” video drops August 19, and later this year I’ll be releasing a full EP. That’s going to be my biggest statement yet—just showing people who SarCa$t really is.
